About:-

We love Colorado’s wilderness beauty and want to share it in a way that inspires others. By sharing our knowledge and expertise, we hope to open up to you the local wilderness gems. We believe you will have a richer, safer, and more enjoyable experience because of the knowledge you gain on mountain safety, environmental stewardship, and local mountain geography and history.

However, just because we love the mountains (and hope you do, too), we know the mountains don’t always love us. Your safety is our number one priority and everything we do is with safety in mind, from the vehicles we drive, to a regular assessment of the weather/road/trail conditions, to discussing appropriate daily objectives.

We want you to explore the mountains, travel safely, and have experiences that last a lifetime!

As a result of our beliefs and values, described above, we have created a one-stop shop for wilderness guided tours and trips, team building activities, transportation, local outdoor exploration and information, safety training, event planning, and expert advice.

We had such a great time with a sightseeing trip with Colorado Wilderness Rides and Guides. Brad who was our guide in this trip was so nice, polite, and informative. He was also flexible in customizing our trip plan. There were plenty of water and food that the tour prepared for us. The sandwiches were delicious and we also came across many wildlife like elk, marmot, and eagle within that eight hours!

Great pre adventure information. White water rafting was safe, friendly and professional. Our guide Dan was well train and confident. Put one of our family members at ease who was a little anxious. Thanks for a great first white water rafting trip.

We rented mountainbikes and had a guided ride with a group of about 20 people. Although everything went well and we had a really nice ride out, not all of our bikes were technically faultless (worn-out tires, squeaky brakes, leaking front forks, dry chains, etc.). The guides divided the group into smaller groups according to fitness level and experience. However, they had not planned our routes in advance, so a lot of time was lost finding the right parking area, discussing who should ride where, as well as in the obligatory safety brief (read from a printout) prior to riding off. As a result, our overall riding time was less than 3 hours. In my view, that's less than the day-trip we signed up and paid over a 100 dollars for. We were all well taken care of, but to improve value for money, CWRAG should offer better/newer bikes and plan ahead. Less talk and more riding!
