Everything a zoo should be! Very focused on conservation and environmental issues. The animals all seem happy and for the most part have large enclosures. The staff is friendly and very knowledgeable. They have great educational programs and animal demonstrations that are fun for the whole family. Plus, being up on a mountain, there are many breathtaking views of the city below. Overall, every visit to the Cheyenne Mountain Zoo is pleasant and educational.

Amazing!! By far the best zoo I have ever visited.. No way to see it all in a day. You will need a few days at least. I was there about 5 hours and only saw a few of the animals. I got to feed a giraffe and that was fun! I got to see a baby wolf, the cub did not come out of the den but I was able to get a cute picture. We stopped for a bite to eat and was impressed to see all the choices and the prices were good. There is a sky tram you can ride to see an overview of the park and for $2 they said you can buy a ticket in order to ride the golf cart shuttle that runs during the day with shuttle stops.

Amazing zoo! I loves both the giraffe and elephant enclosures. You can tell they really care for their animals. I loved seeing wallabies and peacocks roam free. Great views from through out the park. Wouldn't buy the sky ride as there isn't much bang for the buck and you can get the view from the zoo. Highly recommend!

First you start off with a cool moist kiss of large fan as you enter the zoo. I do recommend taking a sit in a trolley to take you to the top, and to get a layout of the land. The first exhibit we saw was the Snow Leopard, which was a show. You'll see him eat and make noise and then "attack" a fire hose ball. They really are magnificent creatures. Next, the Otters were all huddled by the bank of their pool to keep shade on the hot day. A word to the wise, the animals are very lazed about and hiding on such hot days. I got to see a bull moose chilling out while a peacock looked on. Make sure to checkout The Australian Walkabout, so you can walk with Wallabies and their young. Another shining moment was the giraffes. How can you resist the feel of a dark blue leathery tongue caressing your hand in search of a lettuce leaf? The best view of the land is The Overlook restaurant which serves great iced tea and decent barbecue.

This is a nice Zoo! Employees helpful, friendly and the facilities are clean. Great selection of animals that seemed to be taken good care of. We loved the chair lift ride up the mountain, and all the animals. We ate at the new restaurant Pizza with a View. My favorite was the (Vegan) Arugula with Goat Cheese Pizza! The balsamic vinaigrette sauce was yum! Beautiful Colorado day today! Happy Independence Day everyone!! β™₯οΈπŸ‡ΊπŸ‡ΈπŸŽ†
