Breckenridge Ski Resort
One incredible mountain. One incredible mountain town. Five huge peaks, four terrain parks, two half-pipes, three high-speed six passenger SuperChairs, a top-notch Ski & Ride School, the highest chairlift in North America, unparalleled grooming, exciting events, and a historic mining town with endless shopping, dining and nightlife! Breck is a fantastic destination all year-round!
We love skiing here. We've been coming for 15+ years. The town is very quaint with tons of restaurants and shops. Summer is just as fun. Parking is convenient for day skiers as well as those staying at one of many resorts. Mountain is huge with trail levels for everyone - from beginners to expert.
This resort is my favorite place in the world. The views are spectacular, the food is amazing, the rooms are nice, we always stay in room 22210. It is such a wonderful place. There is a great game room for the kids, mini golf, a wonderful pool and hot tubs, and a ski lift feet from the doors. There is no better place to stay if you want easy access to ski runs and to the town of Breckenridge.
Breckenridge is a great ski mountain. There is no doubt about it. We had a blast from 830 until about 11 when the crowds became completely out of hand. There were probably 300 people in the lift line at the base of peak eight. Easily 20 to 30 minute wait. We simply had to leave. But otherwise Breckenridge is a great mountain. Probably did not help it it was a gorgeous Saturday. Parking is easy and getting on the gondola from the north gondola lot is simple.$12 to park. My recommendation is to go on a weekday!
This is one of my favorite ski resorts. The skiing is weather dependent (though Breckenridge has invested heavily in snow blowing). The workers are polite, the lifts are fast, and the runs are fantastic. I'm giving this a for star because of price. Vail resorts have dramatically increased the price of lift tickets over the years. It is pretty ridiculous, but if you can afford it, it is a truly magnificent place to ski.
Breckenridge is an amazing place. There is no doubt about it. You couldn't ride every run if you had a full week of riding. My only complaint is the cost. It's $169 for an adult day pass. I understand the need to balance the crowd with the higher price but I just wish the alternative passes could be cheaper. Or we could come up with an innovative way to do lift tickets. I usually won't go without a buddy pass. If you can get there on your epic pass from another resort it is well worth it!!
