ARTS FESTIVAL

Our hallmark event since 2009.  A multi-week, multi-disciplinary cornucopia of arts performances, exhibitions, classes, camps, conversations and parties.  Spend a day, a weekend, or the entire festival exploring the best of the contemporary arts with us each summer.

WHAT TO EXPECT

Want to catch every performance we have on tap, or only want to take a class?  Whatever your interest and for however long you want to engage with us during the festival, check out the whole schedule and plan a day, weekend, or a whole week.  Dozens of unique events are available for you to participate in each summer.  We thrive on offering intimate opportunities, so be sure to sign up for your favorite events early…before they sell out!

Red Butte with Friends of Ute Pass Trails

A guided hike of Green Mountain Falls' newest open space.

2.2 miles with 500 ft. gain

Red Butte Recreational Area Hike: 2.2 miles / 500 ft. gain 

Hike begins at 7:30 a.m. from Joyland Trailhead

Friends of Ute Pass Trails is a volunteer-centered non-profit advocating for and supporting a system of safe and sustainable hiking trails for public use in the Ute Pass area, promoting stewardship for trails and education for responsible trails use. Their volunteers dedicate their time and toil to improving our area’s hiking trail network, making our community a better place to live and recreate. Members of the organization are committed to leaving things better than they find them, inspiring others to preserve and protect our natural resources so vital to our well-being.

Art Walk with Julie Maguire

This year's annual Art Walk will feature five new installations throughout Green Mountain Falls.

Green Box is excited to showcase public art installations in Green Mountain Falls, along with those making their debut in 2023! Join us at the Farm Stand as we embark on the annual July 4th Art Walk with curator Julie Maguire. This year’s Walk includes new works by Molly Rideout, Brian Wall, Nikki Pike, Brenda Biondo, and brooke smiley.

ArtDesk Conversation: Mayors Forum

Conversation with Green Mountain Falls mayor Todd Dixon in Church in the Wildwood's Tatter Hall.

Conversations with nationally acclaimed speakers on a variety of subjects. These hourlong sessions include complimentary lunch and opportunities to dialogue with the conversationalist. Topics range from animal welfare, health, and political issues, to visual and performing arts, and the annual Green Mountain Falls Mayor’s Forum.

ARTDESK CONVERSATIONS ARE FREE AND INCLUDE LUNCH. PLEASE PREREGISTER.

4th of July Block Party

Join us at the Farm Stand this Independence Day for performances by Carlos Washington's Steel Horse Swing and Lilli Lewis Trio.

5:00 to 9:00 p.m. – Becoming // Poetry

5:30 to 6:15 p.m. – Western Swing Dance Class with Ormao Dance Company 

6:30 to 7:30 p.m. – Carlos Washington’s Steel Horse Swing

7:30 to 9:00 p.m. – Lilli Lewis Trio

Water Lantern Launch

Immediately following Block Party performances, join us for the Water Lantern Launch around Gazebo Lake!

The second annual Water Lantern Launch will be a delight following the performances of the 4th of July Block Party. To create your own lantern, please stop by the Green Box office (6990 Lake Street) between June 30 and July 4th.  Water Lantern kits are available for $10, and our studio space will provide all the materials needed to personalize your lantern!
