Not highly priced at only 7 dollars for a day pass it is well worth your money. The visitor center is nice and has friendly staff. There is one little trail in particular which goes beside the lake and into the feild a bit as well that is really peaceful and a nice easy walk. The fishing is really nice, however I personally have not had much luck. A really great place to go for a nice afternoon. Only complaint is that the picnic tables are not super well maintained and has several wasp nests in them.

Seven dollars to get into this park and everything it offers is WELL worth it. Fishing, hunting, boating, archery range, great trails and the views just to name a few things that should attract you to this park. It is not a bad drive for any of us " North Metroers" either. Lots of ways to get to the general area and there are visible signs to guide you in. I have never had a bad time talking to the people at entrance hut. They are always kind and full of information. That may seem like a silly thing to mention, but if you go to this, or any state park for that matter with any frequency, the people start to matter more and more. This is a great spot for a BBQ after catching some fish or just letting the kiddos play in their very nicely shaded play area. Make this a spot you visit this summer and I can assure you that you will not regret it.

Amazing place would gladly go over and over again. Huge lake to paddle across. Some of the lake is a wildlife refuge. So you can't boat, kayak or paddle board there. Great bow fishing. Lots of fish
