Head to one of the most popular Independence Day celebrations in the state at Civic Center Park in downtown Denver. This is a free event and is actually the day before July 4, hence the name Independence Eve. There will be a concert, fireworks, and a light show at this event that is produced by the Civic Center Conservancy. Music acts vary each year but in the past the Colorado Symphony has played and this year the 101st Army Band of the Colorado National Guard will take the stage.
Breckenridge starts Independence Day fun with a 10K trail run, bike race, and a parade. After that, enjoy live music, numerous fun activities, the Creative Arts’ Street Arts Festival and a firework display. Nearly every year, the National Repertory Orchestra holds a patriotic concert at 8 p.m. at the Riverwalk Center. And the fun doesn’t end just yet—the town hosts a number of festivities until the July 8, too. .
The Cherry Creek Arts Festival occurs every year during the Fourth of July holiday. Hundreds of artisans attend the event where there is music, art, food and interactive exhibitions. Don't miss out on the variety of food trucks. Locally-owned food trucks like Repicci’s Italian Ice and Barbed Wire Reef offer delicious and affordable eats and treats at the Cherry Creek Festival.
Symphony Above the Clouds, a free Independence Day event, has been occurring for decades now. Come to this event to listen to American tunes and patriotic songs. This popular event is put on by the Ute Pass Symphony Guild.
Cowboys’ Roundup Days in Steamboat Springs is a popular multi-day event that has been going on for over a century. The event starts off with a parade, but throughout this Independence Day extravaganza, expect rodeo events and live music. The Pioneer Day Block Party is something that shouldn't be missed with free food, live music and free admission to the Tread of Pioneers Museum.
Enjoy live music and fireworks after dark at Cripple Creek 4th of July Celebration. Hit up this event at noon when the live music starts. Partake in not only music but also food vendors and a beer garden. This is a free event that has been known as one of the best and longest-running Independence Day events in Colorado.
Frisco’s Fabulous Fourth is a grand celebration that takes place in Frisco every Independence Day. The day kicks off with a pancake breakfast and festivities continue throughout the day with a parade and live music. Once it gets dark, don’t miss the fireworks display over Dillon Reservoir. Head to Frisco Bay Marina to catch the best views of this Fourth of July fireworks show.
Englewood holds a free Independence Day celebration every year that is perfect for families. Starting at 3 p.m., enjoy live music, plenty of kids activities, various vendors and lots of food options at Belleview Park and Cornerstone Park. Live music starts around 7 p.m., and then there is a firework display at 9:30 p.m.
There are many activities going on in Northglenn for Independence Day. Start the day off with a pancake breakfast and run it right off the four-mile run. Head over to the community bake sale or car show before the Pedals and Paws Patriotic Parade. Live music starts and the beer garden opens at noon and then the day ends with a firework display over Webster Lake.
Estes Park is a great destination during the summer and Independence Day is no different. During the day get in some mini golf, canoeing, or other outdoor exercise and then head to the “Steam-to-Electric” Coolest Car Show. After that enjoy live music from the Estes Village Band and a beautiful fireworks display over Lake Estes.
