Starting at an elevation of 9,915’ and topping out at 13,183’ the South Park 38-Mile, Heavy Marathon and Heavy Half Marathon are among the highest in Colorado. Ultrarunners and Marathoners run from the South Park Historical District all the way to the top of Horseshoe Pass. Witness first hand the terrain that prospectors experienced during the great Colorado Gold Rush. Oxygen is not required to enjoy the raging creeks, historic mines, and the scramble above tree line after all. 15-Milers can enjoy HPRS’ fastest “half”, sprinkled with deceptive rolling terrain on a mixture of dirt roads and forest service double track. We’ll have you questioning the elevation map in your pocket. This race is a good introduction to what HPRS is all about, overcoming #Adversity, and growing from the experience.

Schedule:

Ultra 38-Mile: 6:00 AM
Marathon (~28 Miles): 8:00 AM
Half Marathon (~15 Miles): 8:00 AM
